Profile
The Galerie for aktuelle Kunst was founded in 2001 by Heinz-Günther Herpel in Berlin's then up- n-coming Mitte-Nord gallery district. Since 2016, the three rooms with a total of 300 m² have been partially made available to the network of independent Berlin project spaces and initiatives for their own projects, exhibitions and events. The network's mission is to allow for new forms of collaboration and exchange, to articulate itself politically and to work towards improving the working conditions of independent artists and curators. The network's AG-Kunstpunkt is responsible for the coordination and organization of Kunstpunkt Berlin.
