until 18.01.2025 Valentina Murabito. Sculpture, Fotografie. Repro Mondlose Nacht #2, Valentina Murabito, 2023, analoge schwarzweiß-Fotografie, Handabzug auf Beton, Expositharz, 38 x 28 x 6 cm, Photo: Courtesy 68projects by KORNFELD

Valentina Murabito experiments with analogue photography. She dissolves the photographic surface in order to mould it like a skin or break it like dry earth. The artist develops her photographic works by hand on baryta paper, watercolour paper, wood, steel, concrete and wall surfaces. Her works can be described as a kind of dialogue between painting and sculpture and are each unique.

Past

12.09. – 25.10. Reciting From Memory. Pablo Benzo. Painting. Repro How we know what we know, Pablo Benzo, 2024, Öl auf Leinen, 200 x 150 x 2,5 cm, Photo: Courtesy 68projects by KORNFELD

Pablo Benzo's new series, to be showcased in our September exhibition for Berlin Art Week 2024, focuses on surreal and cubist three-dimensional "picture within a picture" constructions. This technique allows him to depict objects and landscapes in a multi-layered and profound manner.

His images invite viewers to reflect on their own memories and emotions and to establish a personal connection through the subtle cues in the paintings.

William Bradley, Alexander Kroll, Michael John Kelly, Rachel Eulena Williams, Yevgeniya Baras, Dawit Abebe, Giorgio Celin, Chris Engman, Chris Hood, Sandeep Mukherjee, Kimia Ferdowski Kline, Panos Tsagaris, Liat Yossifor, Kyungmi Shin, Olasunkanmi Akomolehin, Seong Joon Hong. Feiern Sie ein Jahrzehnt künstlerischer Erkundung bei 68projects by KORNFELD und das bleibende Erbe der Berliner Inspiration.

26.04. – 14.06. Unprompted. Youjin Yi. Painting. Repro Future's so Bright, Youjin Yi, 2024, Öl und Ölpastell auf Leinwand, 100 x 150 cm, Photo: Courtesy 68projects by KORNFELD

For the Gallery Weekend 2024 we present Youjin Yi, master student of Günter Förg at the Munich Academy and guest student at UdK with Leiko Ikemura. Her works combine representational references with abstract, painterly structures. Landscapes are occupied by people, animals, hybrid creatures and other objects. Seemingly dematerialized, they merge with their surroundings, emerge or take shape. The motifs of her works challenge us, they want to be deciphered and yet remain enigmatic.

01.03. – 19.04. [Study layers]. Seong Joon Hong. Painting. Repro Study layers 77, Seong Joon Hong, 2023, Acryl auf Leinwand, 221 x 181,5 cm, Photo: Courtesy 68projects by KORNFELD

Under the title [Study layers], the exhibition shows the works of Korean artist Seong Joon Hong, which were created in the summer of 2023 as part of his 68projects by KORNFELD residency in Berlin. The artist combines the heritage of hanji, a traditionally produced Korean paper, with Western traditions. His literally multi-layered images combine to create a narrative about the multi-faceted aspects of life.
