Galerie Georg Nothelfer is pleased to present an exhibition with young berlin artist Inna Levinson and Walter Stöhrer, who is a representative of classical gestural and scriptural painting, during Gallery Weekend 2024.

In the show "still. there" Galerie Georg Nothelfer is pleased to present for the first time two artists who approach the subject of time and space in different ways using the means of photography. While Manfred Hamm (*1944 in Zwickau) traces the state of the past in his photographs, Damien Daufresne (*1979 in Paris) captures the ephemeral nature of the moment through photography, drawing and film.

Fred Thieler (1916-1999) is one of the important representatives of German Informel.

Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag (*1965) began his work on space in space in the early 1990s with monochromatic gas discharge light systems and fields of standing, sinusoidal infrasound waves - also influenced by the processuality and immediacy of Informel.

Edgar Hofschen (1941-2016) studied painting at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf from1972 to 1975. In 1977 he took part in documenta 6 in Kassel, along with Gianfranco Zappettini and other Analytic artists. Topics in Edgar Hofschen's work are separation and connection, and the color in its materiality, as well as in its psycho-physiological effect. Hofschen used materials such as tent canvas, and sail cloth, which were worked with seams, tears, paper strips and wood glue.
