until 11.04. Unendliche Welten. Ilona Marsiske, Marina Schreiber, Stefan Tiersch. Painting, Work on Paper, Drawing, Sculpture. Repro Ausschnitt: Schöpfolution - Im Wildgarten der Waldschrate, Stefan Tiersch, 2021, Acryl auf Leinwandstoff, 155 x 155 cm

The works of Ilona Marsiske, Marina Schreiber, and Stefan Tiersch open new visual realms between the macro- and microcosm. Marsiske explores otherworldly landscapes and multiverses as poetic alternatives to everyday realism. Tiersch’s intricate floral forms unfold across paper, canvas, and unconventional surfaces like vinyl records, while Schreiber’s delicate “biomorphic abstractions” of woven electrical resistors, beads, and polymers evoke microscopic life. Together, their works transform familiar forms and reveal the inventive richness of life itself.

Upcoming

17.04. – 11.07. En-tfal-tet. Die Kunst des Sehens. Daniela Böhler, Heidrun Meyer, Edelgard Dräger, Simon Adler, u.a. Painting, Work on Paper. Repro Farbtunnel, Claudia Guss, N.N.

The exhibition offers insight into artistic positions spanning four decades of creative work at the House of Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen (HdD Wehr-Öflingen) and invites visitors to engage in creative inclusion. The diversity of artistic paths taken toward individual expression by participating artists from the southwestern tri-border region is immediately evident. The contrasting works are full of dynamism and energy. Each piece is not only an expression of a personal story, but also a testament to the ongoing artistic practice at HdD Wehr-Öflingen.

Opening with a dance performance by Tanztheater Öflingen under the artistic direction of Dr. Alexandr Azarkevitch.

17.07. – 10.10. Retrospektive . Kunstprojekt Experiment Tiergarten. Painting, Work on Paper, Drawing, Mixed. Repro Projektbild ExperimenTiergarten

Since 1998, artist and art therapist Salome Haettenschweiler has been directing the art project Experiment Tiergarten in collaboration with the Mitte Department of Child and Youth Services. The project connects children, adolescents, and young adults—with and without disabilities—from a wide range of social, cultural, and family backgrounds. Central to the project is an open creative process free from performance pressure, encouraging independent artistic exploration. Through this individual working process, artworks emerge that vividly translate self-chosen ideas and inner narratives into visual form. To mark the conclusion of this long-running and highly successful project, Galerie Kulturhaus presents a curated selection of works from 28 years of studio practice.

Past

19.09.2025 – 17.01. Trauma ReCoded. Haci Sami Yaman. Painting, Work on Paper, Installation. Repro Ausschnitt einer 25-Meter-Papierarbeit. Anderes Sehen. Schwarzlichtsysteme, Haci Sami Yaman, 2024, Mixed Media, o. A., Photo: Künstler

Haci Sami Yaman lives and works in Berlin. Relying on the tactile perception of “cosmic vibrations” — subtle energy fields — he creates striking works distinguished by bold compositions of dots, lines, and calligraphic forms. Yaman connects his unique system of world codings with mystical traditions like the Kabbalah and Grigori Grabovoi’s numerical sequences. His art opens new pathways into perception, offering alternative perspectives beyond conventional visual experience and understanding.

24.05.2025 – 13.09.2025 Fragments of Reality. Silja Korn, Sven Kocar, Ono Ludwig. Painting, Drawing, Fotografie. Repro Ausschnitte aus den Arbeiten von l. n. r. Sven Kocar, Weinendes Auge (2010), Silja Korn, Metamorphose (2018) und Ono Ludwig, Saving live is not a crime (2020).

In our new exhibition, we present three artistic positions from Berlin’s Outsider Art scene. Using light painting, urban photography, ink drawings, and painting, the artists challenge conventional visual habits and offer new perspectives on everyday life and the experiences of people with disabilities. Silja Korn, a blind artist, works with photography, exploring the relationship between light, vision, and memory beyond conventional visual norms. In his ink works and large-scale panel paintings, Ono Ludwig focuses on dissolving what is seen and transforming it into personal layers of meaning. Sven Kocar photographs using his feet, opening up unusual and unexpected perspectives on both public and private spaces.

20.09.2024 – 19.12.2024 Eigensinn: Der Boden, auf dem ich stehe. Outsider Art aus Spandau. Painting, Work on Paper, Drawing. Repro Ohne Titel, Robert Andermann, 2023, Faserstifte auf Papier, 21 x 29,7 cm, Photo: Lebenswelten e.V.

The ground connects the body to the earth and symbolizes inner as well as outer stability. It becomes a metaphor for life, identity, and creative expression. During personal or societal upheavals, this foundation can become unstable, giving the impression of "losing ground." In the inclusive exhibition "Der Boden, auf dem ich stehe" (The Ground I Stand On), artists from Spandau reflect on their perspectives and experiences with this topic.

21.06.2024 – 11.09.2024 ZwischenWelten II.
Enes Icer. Work on Paper, Drawing, Textile art. Repro Ich bin frech, Enes Icer, 2022, Edding auf Buchdruck

The Berlin based artist Enes Icer works in series. Through repeated dynamic sketches, Icer removes his subjects from their systems of meaning, creating multi-layered compositions in which drawing, writing, and color intertwine, allowing for new ways of interpretation.

Driven by the repetitive rhythm of the line, paper, textiles, or print templates become Icer's experimental field, where the artist often expresses his perception of the world with a humorous undertone. His text images oscillate between concrete poetry, transparency and personal notes.

Icer's portrait heads and animals – cows, sheep, birds – are "clones" with individual character, reflecting a lived diversity. They form herds that roam across gallery walls, much like changing pastures: from one place to the next, from one season to the following. Since 2014, Icer has had his studio in the Kunsthafen imPerfekt. With his unique perspective and distinctive style, the artist enriches the field of so-called Outsider Art.

25.08.2023 – 02.11.2023 Daily Icon. Kritische Konsumkultur. Deniz Dogan, Corinna Heidepriem, Albrecht Fersch. Print. Repro Keramikobjekte, Keramik, o.J., Deniz Dogan, Photo: © Kulturhaus Spandau
